Evident Productions founder Peter Blue grew up in Redding, a small town in Northern California. Even at a small age, Blue always had a knack for technology and production, so much so that he was often pulled out of class to help his school navigate such obstacles as how to turn the microphone on.
Blue’s love for production, technology and communication, along with natural leadership skills, led to him landing a job managing a three-screen multi-media tour straight out of high school. Blue quickly built a network of contacts, moving to Los Angeles and then joining the concert touring scene in Nashville.
While based in Nashville, Blue traveled to all 50 states, road managed 40-person traveling tours and oversaw all manner of actors, artists and performances. Here he learned the tricks of the trade, but rather than focus on one aspect of production, Blue learned them all. Glancing back, Blue laughs at conversations he used to hear where people would try to figure out exactly what he was doing on a particular project.
“Hey, do you know Peter Blue?" one would say. "Yeah, I know him, he’s the audio guy right?" "No, he's the lighting guy." Actually, jumped in a third person, "He's doing lighting and video." "I thought he was the production manager," said a fourth, just to confuse things. Truth was, all were right, and Blue quickly built up a reputation as a go-to guy who could cover all the bases.
Blue's ability to troubleshoot and come up with creative solutions increased demand for his services, particularly though his work on international symphony projects and developing VIP events for government officials. Blue’s innovative designs further opened the door to work in the corporate and trade show industries.
Blue decided to expand his business and move to Las Vegas in 2005. Blue's experience and knowledge of cutting edge technologies, particularly his expertise with LED technology, interactive trade show booths and social networking and internet communication tools branched his company beyond the production realm into all avenues of communication and event consulting.
Blue is known in the field for his creativity and flexibility, making him a go-to pinch hitter for other production companies who need help solving a problem or filling a technical need. Blue has “ghost produced” for companies such as Freeman, GES and Creative Technologies.
